Cookie Policy
Last updated: 27 January 2026 • Version 1.0
This Cookie Policy explains how Property Passport UK ("Property Passport", "we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you access and use the Property Passport platform.
We are committed to transparency about the technologies we use and how they support the core functions of our property-centric digital infrastructure system.
1. About This Policy
This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy and explains:
- What cookies are and how they work
- What cookies we use on the Property Passport platform
- The purposes for which cookies are used
- How you can manage your cookie preferences
This policy applies to all users of the Property Passport UK website and platform, whether authenticated or visiting as a guest.
2. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device and remember certain information about your visit.
Cookies typically contain:
- The name of the website that placed the cookie
- A unique identifier
- An expiry date (how long the cookie remains active)
Cookies are used to enable essential functionality, maintain security, and improve user experience. They do not contain personal data unless you have provided it.
3. Strictly Necessary Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are essential for the operation of the Property Passport platform. These cookies enable core functionality such as secure authentication, access control, and system security. Without these cookies, the platform cannot function correctly.
Important Notice
Under UK data protection law, strictly necessary cookies do not require user consent. These cookies are essential for providing the service you have requested.

| sb-access-token | Supabase authentication session | Session | Strictly necessary |
| sb-refresh-token | Supabase session refresh | 7 days | Strictly necessary |
| cookie-consent | Records consent preference | 1 year | Strictly necessary |
These cookies cannot be disabled as they are essential for the platform to operate securely and deliver the service you have requested.
4. Analytics Cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how users interact with our platform, identify technical issues, and improve the overall user experience.
Current Status
We do not currently use analytics cookies. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated to reflect the specific cookies used, their purpose, and how to opt out.
5. Marketing Cookies
Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites to display advertising that is relevant and engaging for individual users.
Current Status
We do not use marketing or advertising cookies. Property Passport UK does not display third-party advertising or track users for marketing purposes.
6. Third-Party Cookies
Third-party cookies are set by services we use to operate the platform, rather than by Property Passport UK directly.
Supabase Authentication
We use Supabase as our authentication provider. Supabase sets cookies to maintain your authenticated session securely. These cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to function.
For more information about Supabase's use of cookies, please refer to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
We do not permit any other third-party cookies on the Property Passport platform. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking services.
7. How We Obtain Consent
When you first visit the Property Passport platform, you will see a cookie consent banner informing you about our use of cookies.
Consent Requirements
- Strictly necessary cookies: These do not require consent under UK law as they are essential for the platform to operate
- Analytics and marketing cookies: These would require your explicit consent before being placed (currently not used)
Your consent preference is stored in the cookie-consent cookie for one year. This ensures we remember your choice and do not ask repeatedly.
You may change your consent preferences at any time using the methods described in Section 8.
8. Managing Your Preferences
Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to manage cookie preferences through the browser settings. You can set your browser to:
- Block all cookies
- Accept only first-party cookies
- Delete cookies when you close your browser
- Notify you before cookies are placed
Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from accessing authenticated areas of the platform.
Clearing Cookies
You can delete cookies that have already been placed on your device at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will log you out of the platform and remove your consent preferences.
