Headline bands

A–G is a relative scale for modeled energy performance at the time of assessment. A is most efficient in banding terms; G is least. The certificate also shows a potential rating if recommended measures were installed — treat that as indicative, not a quote.

Why the same letter feels different in real life

Occupancy patterns, thermostat settings, extensions, and DIY changes after the assessment date all change lived experience. The EPC is a regulated snapshot, not a live smart-meter readout.
